Open to musicians ages 10-18,VENTI offers a unique musical experience — a combination of quality education, friendship and fun! 

          Founded by Dr. Nancy Bondurant, one of Seattle’s premier teachers, VENTI is designed to help musicians improve their playing skills in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.  Customized arrangements provide opportunities for beginning, intermediate and advanced performers to play together — all in the same group!  Parts are assigned by skill level and student leadership/mentoring is encouraged.

            Musicians work on tone production, tuning, blend, how to play together and musicianship.  Repertoire is drawn from a variety of styles including jazz and classical standards.  Performances are divided between community events and formal concerts.

          No auditions are necessary.  Students should have at least 1 year of playing experience and be prepared to practice and have FUN, too.  Places are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve, basis.

          VENTI meets weekly Feb. 1 (no meeting 2/22) through May 10 (concert 5/10), Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 pm.  The fee is $140.  Contact Dr. Bondurant, director, at 206.533.8327 for more information.
